Genetix has launched a new slide-loader for automated large batch cytogenetic slide processing.
The cancer diagnostic and biopharmaceutical technologies group’s GSL-120 – created by its Applied Imaging firm – claims to offer a comprehensive solution for the efficient processing of cytogenetic slides without the need for user intervention.
It maintains the product – specifically designed for integration with CytoVision system – provides a completely integrated imaging and analysis solution.
Dr Julian Burke, Genetix chief scientific officer, said: "Technological advancements are ushering in a new era in cytogenetics – and the GSL-120 is representative of our commitment and position at the forefront of this evolution."
He added the product would vastly improve its users’ productivity and offer a more accurate and consistent examination.
The company’s head office and main research facility is based in New Milton on the south coast of England.
It has opened offices in San Jose, California, Boston, Massachusetts, Munich, Germany and Newcastle upon Tyne.
