Alliance Pharma is due to hold its annual general meeting (AGM) in London today.
Chairman of the company Michael Gatenby will state that trading in the first four months of this year has been in line with expectations, a press release from the firm states.
Mr Gatenby will comment on the "particularly strong" performance of the company's dermatology product Hydromol in the UK and also note that the application for registration of development product Isprelor is unlikely to take place before 2011.
"The uncertainties of product development underline the importance that we placed at the middle of last year on improving our trading performance, resulting in trading in the first four months of 2008 being substantially ahead of the same period the previous year," he will note.
Last month, Alliance Pharma announced its preliminary results for the year ended December 31st 2007, noting that its sales had increased by six per cent to £18.2 million.
