| Andor to host free microscopy webinar | Posted on 01/05/2008 in Scientific Andor Technology has announced that it will host a free online seminar to highlight the latest in laser-based spinning disk confocal systems.
The "webinar" will also cover the principles and benefits of EMCCD camera technology and will discuss the features of the organisation's own Revolution Microscopy System.
In conjunction with Microscopy & Analysis magazine, the event - that is the first of its kind for both businesses - will consist of a 45-minute presentation delivered by Dr Mark Browne, director of the firm's microscopy systems division.
Dr Julian Heath, the publication's editor, will host the occasion that will be followed by a 15-minute question and answer session.
It will take place on Tuesday May 13th at 4pm BST.
Andor has headquarters in Belfast and employs more than 160 staff with distribution to about 40 countries.
It was founded in 1989 by scientists working in the physics department of Queen's University.
