| Millipore launches new cell cultures | Posted on 21/04/2008 in Scientific Millipore has launched a new range of epithelial cell cultures.
The life science organisation released the new range - developed by CELLnTEC - last Friday (April 18th).
A partnership agreement signed in 2006 has made these cell cultures available via the firm.
The full kits will include a special media for the propagation of the primary cell cultures that provide an enriched population of progenitor cells from skin, cornea, and bladder epithelia.
A company statement said: "Laboratories lacking either access to tissue or the expertise to conduct the difficult isolation of primary epithelial cells may now extend the reach of their discoveries.
"By providing pre-isolated, long-lived progenitor cells, Millipore and CELLnTEC are enabling the research community to expand its research potential."
The company claims to be a leading provider of cutting-edge technologies for bioscience research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
It is an S&P 500 company with more than 6,100 employees in 47 countries.
