Thermo Scientific introduces new sample position illuminator
18 April 2008 00:00 in Scientific
Thermo Scientific has introduced a sample position illuminator for its NanoDrop 8000 Spectrophotometer.
According to the manufacturer, the new product will allow researchers to work with more samples in less time while still delivering the same capabilities.
The company said: "The new sample position illuminator keeps track of the samples to be measured by lighting up wells from beneath the plate.
"This helps the user to know which wells to draw from for the next measurement, reducing fatigue and human error."
New software has been created for the product, introducing features such as the auto column advance that increases throughput by automatically lighting up the next column to be measured and a system that allows users to pick single or multiple wells for measurement.
The company claims to provide world-class analytical instrumentation, lab equipment, automation technologies, reagents and consumables, and LIMS solutions.
