PerkinElmer launch the Victor X

11th April 2008

PerkinElmer has launched the latest in its range of multi-label plate readers.

Widely used in research labs and academic centres, The Victor X is claimed by its manufacturers to be the best of its kind.

The health science and photonics specialist said that the product would deliver an increased flexibility to its customers and support new applications beyond primary screening, including quality control and therapeutic research.

It was released at the Society for Biomolecular Sciences’ 14th annual conference and exhibition in St Louis this week.

Dr Richard Eglen, president of bio-discovery at PerkinElmer, said that since the platform was launched as one of the first fully-loaded multi-label plate readers on the market the company has remained committed to meeting customers’ demands.

"In developing Victor X we drew strongly from customer feedback, leading to an enhanced product featuring upgraded software that is customisable and open-ended for ease of integration with research applications.

"Our customers can now more easily create a new protocol or select and run one of several pre-set application-based protocols," Mr Eglen added.

The company claims to be a global technology leader, driving growth and innovation in health sciences and photonics.ADNFCR-1050-ID-18547393-ADNFCR
