| Barloworld Scientific trading as four new companies | Posted on 07/04/2008 in Scientific Barloworld Scientific began trading as four new companies under new names this month, following its 2007 acquisition by Nova Capital.
Each of the new companies will have its own dedicated sales, marketing and technical teams.
The new companies are: Bibby Scientific Limited; Carboloite Limited; SciLabware Limited; and Sterilin Limited.
Bibby Scientific Limited will produce science equipment; Carbolite Limited will be responsible for furnaces and ovens; SciLabware Limited will manufacture glassware and reusable plastic labware; and Sterilin Limited will make plastic labware.
A company statement said: "We will be trading as four new companies, each with a new identity and with responsibility for a distinct product portfolio.
"Some things will remain constant; our famous brand names and their unrivalled reputation for offering the very best in quality, performance and value."
Barloworld Scientific was home to some of the world's most famous brand names in laboratory equipment and consumables.
