| Dade Behring releases third quarter 2007 financial results | Posted on 03/04/2008 in Scientific Dade Behring has announced strong revenues for the third quarter of 2007.
The clinical diagnostics company reports total revenue of $475 million (£240 million) for the three-month period, an increase of 12 per cent over the same period the previous year.
These figures boosted the revenue for the first nine months of 2007 to $1.4 billion (£0.71 billion) an increase of ten per cent.
On a constant currency basis, revenue for the third quarter and first nine months of 2007 increased eight per cent and seven per cent respectively.
Speaking about the figures, Jim Reid-Anderson, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Dade Behring, said: "Our ability to provide innovative products and highly-responsive service to clinical laboratory customers has been a key contributor to Dade Behring's strong revenue growth.
"We look forward to combining the strengths of Dade Behring and Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics, forming the leading clinical diagnostics company in the world."
Dade Behring is the world's largest company solely dedicated to clinical diagnostics.
It was acquired by Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics in November 2007.
