| GRI launches KapaHiFi Polymerase | Posted on 14/02/2008 in Scientific GRI has announced the launch of its KapaHiFi DNA Polymerase from Kapa Biosystems.
The second generation DNA polymer, which is engineered specifically for its "fidelity and robustness", is able to perform across a range of difficult templates, long range with amplification targets greater than 18kb, according to GRI.
The supplier of molecular biology solutions added that the KapaHiFi can work at a high speed, with reduced reaction times of up to 75 per cent ensuring that it gives an "industry-leading performance".
KapaHiFi DNA Polymerase has been manufactured with an increased affinity for DNA without the need for accessory protein domains.
Its intrinsic high processivity of KapaHiFi has led to "significant improvements" in yield speed, target length and the ability of amplify different templates, continued GRI.
GRI is the UK's leading supplier of molecular and cell biology products.
It acts as the exclusive UK agent for a number of global biotechnology instrumentation manufacturers including Axon Lab, Capp and Delta Scientific Medical.
