‘Thermo Fisher Scientific simplifies toxicology screening’
Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched its Thermo Scientific ToxID software for liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry analyses.
This "intuitive" addition to the Thermo Fisher Scientific range of solutions for toxicology and forensic applications will be showcased alongside the recently unveiled EasyTox Productivity Solution for GC/MS analyses at the Academy of Forensic Sciences 60th anniversary meeting.
Described by the company as "an easy-to-use software application that dramatically simplifies LC-MS/MS toxicology screening workflows for toxicology and forensic laboratories", the ToxID uses retention time and MS/MS spectra for accurate compound identification.
It added that the new software is compatible with its Xcalibur Data system and LCQUAN quantitation software- allowing clear and concise reports to be automatically generated.
"It offers scientists increased flexibility and can be customized to meet the needs of their laboratory, while the rapid GC/MS analysis ensures high throughput," the company continued.
Meanwhile, this news follows announcements that Thermo Fisher Scientific is working with two prestigious universities- Harvard Medical School and Kings College London.
The serving science company is providing Harvard with equipment to identify human proteins needed for the growth of HIV and with Kings College to study advanced proteomic research in cardiovascular medicine.
