Millipore introduces new media for antibody purification

Millipore has launched a ProSep Ultra Plus affinity chromatography media for the capture and large scale purification of today’s higher titer therapeutic antibodies.

This latest addition to the ProSep range of chromatography media is a based affinity resin with the highest dynamic binding capacity and flow rate capability of "any comparable resin on the market".

According to Millipore, it was developed using proven technology and can deliver "the most cost effective solution to protein A affinity MAb capture processing".

The life science leader added that the ProSep Ultra Plus affinity chromatography media consists of a rigid base matrix which enables predictable scale-up and increased process flexibility.

This gives users the opportunity to reduce their equipment footprint.

Meanwhile, Millipore has announced plans to webcast its presentation at the Merrill Lynch 2008 Global Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device conference.

Martin Madaus, chairman, president and chief executive officer of the company, will speak at the February 7th event.
