Bioquell wins second HPV contract
Bioquell’s Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour (HPV) bio-decontamination technology is being utilised by a second NHS Trust.
The East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust is deploying the system to help with its ‘deep clean’ programme aimed at reducing hospital acquired infections.
This in line with the government initiative to carry out a national ward-by-ward clean.
Matthew Parks, head of Bioquell’s Room Bio-Decontamination Service, said that company was "delighted" to be working with East Sussex Trust.
"With this specialist decontamination resource, the hospitals are able to focus upon eradicating nosocomial pathogens from the environment and hence reduce hospital acquired infections," he continued.
According to the bio-decontamination solutions company, this contract is a very important win as it has invested heavily in the research and development of its HPV systems.
Previously, Bioquell’s HPV implant team has been utilised by the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
It also has two implant teams working successfully in the US.
