Ask Your Pharmacist campaign launches
22 January 2008 00:00 in Pharmacy / Pharmacist News
The National Pharmacy Association (NPA) has released information on its forthcoming Ask Your Pharmacist campaign.
Its campaign will focus on the use of medicines, cardiovascular disease and sexual health, as well as the ongoing coverage of generic minor ailments.
The NPA stated it will use a variety of media to publicise its campaign and other editorial content.
"We will explain why the public should ask at the pharmacy and provide them with a focus for questions," the organisation added.
Recently, the NPA offered community pharmacists advice on helping to control the risk of a flu epidemic or pandemic.
It urged pharmacists to remember they play a vital role in encouraging at-risk groups to seek vaccinations.
The recently published magazine InTouch provided more detailed guidance for the pharmacists, suggesting they demonstrate to commissioners that community-based pharmacies can be a "valuable" asset during the pressures of seasonal ill health.
