Eisai receives Expressionist platform from Genedata
The Eisai Research Institute and Genedata have signed an agreement that will see the institute receive an Expressionist biomarker discovery platform.
Genedata Expressionist is a modular computational platform intended for use for biomarker discovery.
It combines transcriptonomics, proteomics and metabolomics data with its own enterprise software.
Boasting sophisticated high-throughput data processing and automated workflows for quality assessment, statistical analysis and interpretation functionalities, the platform can provide a single point-of-access for experimental data.
Sample information, raw and pre-processed data, analysis results and report documentation can be processed using the platform.
Genedata’s managing director Jens Hoefkens expressed the company’s delight to be working with the Eisai Research Institute in meeting its bio-IT infrastructure for biomarker validation.
“We view the institute’s choice as further validation of Expressionist’s appeal to researchers seeking a common platform of tools and applications for biomarker identification with stringent quality control and open data sharing.”
Genedata is a provider of in silico solutions for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
Late last year, Eisai confirmed that the Court of Appeal had granted the company permission to appeal the high court ruling on the process by which the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence reached its decision to ban anti-dementia medicines for NHS patients with mild Alzheimer’s disease.
