Servier named stroke corporate supporter of the year

Servier Laboratories has been named as the Corporate Supporter of the Year by the Stroke Association at its annual Life After Stroke Awards.
This accolade recognises the the work of the firm with the organisation in helping those affected by the condition.
Servier has been a member of the Stroke Association for a number of years, having made the group the first charity of the year as part of its programme of corporate social responsibility.
Employees at the firm have conducted and taken part in a number of fundraising events to support the work of the charity and cooperated with the group on the launch of the Stroke Toolkit.
The Stroke Toolkit is an information resource designed to reach out to healthcare professionals in order to boost awareness and knowledge on stroke management.
Frederic Girard, chief executive officer of Servier Laboratories, said: "Servier are delighted to have been chosen as the Stroke Association?s Corporate Supporter of the Year.
"Through partnership working with organisations such as the Stroke Association we aim to raise awareness and improve education into all aspects of stroke management."
He added his thanks for Servier employees who have helped contribute to the receipt of this award through their efforts and anticipated continued partnership working with the Stroke Association for years to come.
In February 2007, Servier picked up the Therapy Franchise Award at the Pharmaceutical Marketing Effectiveness Awards ceremony, the second successive year it was recognised in some manner by the organisation.
