Andor Technology unveils camera range
Andor Technology is to exhibit its LucaEM R range of cameras at Laser 2007, the World of Photonics trade fair, it has emerged.
The event is being held in Munich from June 18th – 21st and has a list of over 1,100 registered companies taking part.
LucaEM cameras utilise an electron multiplying charge coupling device (EMCCD) to magnify a signal prior to the introduction of noise, which Andor Technology states allows the interference to be made negligible.
Dr Colin Coates, market development manager, advises: "This latest addition to the LucaEM range represents a fantastic upgrade from existing laboratory workhorse cameras.
"The camera offers a flexible, compact solution and is ideal for a diverse range of applications."
With a resolution of one megapixel, Andor Technology suggests that the new device may be suitable for large fields of view.
Meanwhile, an additional option allows for the electron multiplying to be switched off for brighter sources.
