Dade Behring signs agreement deal with Novation

Dade Behring has signed a new agreement with Novation for access to all of the clinical diagnostics’ manufacturer’s products.

The three-year deal will see Novation have rights to Dade Behring’s full line of Dimension chemistry systems as well as the new Dimension Vista Intelligent Lab System.

Scalable automation systems such as the StreamLAB and Dimension Lynx analytical will also be open to Novation workers, in addition to pre-existing agreements for MicroScan microbiology products.

Jim Reid-Anderson, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Dade Behring, commented: "This agreement reaffirms the positive relationship we have with Novation.

"We are confident that Dade Behring’s broad range of chemistry products can help Novation’s alliance members optimise efficiencies in their clinical laboratories."

Dade Behring’s Vista 1500 Intelligent Lab System was recently recognised for its innovative features in the 2007 Novation New Medical Catalogue.

Novation suggested that the catalogue featured innovative products that have had a positive impact on improving the safety of patients or health care workers.

The news follows reports that Dade Behring’s first-quarter earnings increased by more than a quarter (26 per cent) in 2007.
