Medical Writer Jobs
Zenopa recruit medical writers for full time employment and freelance. We have medical writing jobs at all levels, from trainee medical writers through to editorial directors. We work with some of the biggest clients in the market providing vacancies in pharmaceutical companies as well as medical education agencies.
What does being a Medical Writer entail?
As a medical writer you have to consistently produce high quality written educational and communicative materials for the pharmaceutical industry and other educational bodies.
Medical writing with a Healthcare Communications Agency is likely to involve analysing, researching, writing, editing and proof reading. This will be for a full range of medical education materials that consistently meet the project specification, budget and delivery schedule.
Some of the materials you will be producing include:
Scientific Abstracts and Posters · Publication Manuscripts · Slide Kits · Monographs · Congress / Exhibition Materials · Newsletters · Meeting Reports · Multimedia
You will be producing these for a range of audiences, as well as a range of therapy areas, therefore the ability to adjust your writing style and correctly interpret clients briefs is essential. Spelling, grammar and an eye for detail are of the upmost importance in these roles, along with strong English skills, both written and spoken.
The role also requires a medical writer to maintain thorough up-to-date knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, research & development, industry guidelines, SOPs and laws to ensure adherence at all times. You will work closely with the PR department in medical and communications companies and you will often have one point of contact in each department.
