TERRITORY: Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire

PRODUCTS: Diabetes monitoring products, blood glucose monitors - Accu - Chek

CLIENTS: Primary and secondary care- diabetes specialist nurses, practice nurses, consultant diabetologists

To position Accu-Chek as the leading Diabetes Care brand through clinical and medical differentiated selling.

Achieve market share targets by successful implementation of marketing campaigns and meter placement plans, driving Accu-Chek system recommendation and attaining system activation.


Active participation within the regional team and amongst cross-teams to drive business and share best practice.

Work with Regional Manager to identify and actively drive own training and development needs.

Specific Responsibilities :


1. High clinical knowledge maintained by self-learning, e-learning and achieving pass rate in all assessments.

2. Routine and consistent analysis of the territory business using market share data, weekly KPI reports, campaign reports and meter placement data.

3. Routine and consistent planning and feedback of business issues on a monthly basis, formulating specific key action plans.

4. Ensure that a rolling 4-week action plan is logged on Outlook, with a full allocation of working time.

5. Ensure that sales call rates are achieved and target customers are seen at the correct frequency.

6. Deliver structured, consistent sales calls to target customers. Ensure that key product and marketing messages are reinforced at every call using appropriate current materials.

7. Manage administrative functions in compliance with standard deadlines, to include call reporting, customer orders, monthly reporting, planning, and expenses.

8. Ensure that financial responsibilities are correctly managed, including expense compliance, sponsorship budget and FOC meter budget.

9. Develop and sustain effective cross-team communication and working relationships with colleagues from the Infusion, Pharmacy Implementation Team, and Diabetes Development Manager team.

10. Pro-active participation in allocated Champion's responsibilities.

11. Exceed the minimum expectations of the role as detailed in the HCP Representative Standards and Expectations document.

12. Ensure that all relevant Company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.

13. Active participation in own personal development, maintaining high clinical knowledge levels, use of the Self Coaching Framework; also through ownership of the Individual Development Plan

Person Profile

Devices or Pharmaceuticals sales experience ideally within the diabetes therapy area.
