Overall Purpose To ensure the smooth and continued operation of new and existing products and equipment, through repair of emergency breakdowns and routine service maintenance duties. To install new equipment and systems. To Install and demonstrate equipment as required in support of the sales team

Technical and Major Functions

Repair a range of Fujifilm Medical Systems supplied equipment including x-ray and mammography equipment. Ensure that priorities and timescales are adhered to.

Customer Service - respond to technical requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.

Install and demonstrate equipment in support of the Sales and Applications teams.

Routine Maintenance - arrange service dates and carry out maintenance in line with service contract requirements. Maintain a car stock of spare parts, ensuring inventory records are fully maintained. Carry out equipment upgrades as instructed.

Installations - attend sites with Sales and/or Project Management staff and prepare draft drawings. Liaise with sales staff and management regarding all customer requirements. Arrange installation and commissioning with the customer ensuring that the Sales and Project Management team are informed of progress.

Work with other members of the service team in Fujifilm Medical Systems to resolve customer service related problems.

Escalate to Modality Technical Manager/Modality Service Manager any serious or potentially unresolved issues which may affect patient safety and customer/supplier relationships.

Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times, reporting any potential hazards to the Modality Technical Manager/Modality Service Manager.

Ensuring at all times that confidentiality is maintained regarding Fujifilm Medical Systems products. Honouring at all times any non-disclosure agreements entered into by Fujifilm Medical Systems. Ensuring that patient identifiable data is appropriately accessed and managed.

Gather information on competitor equipment and software and customer upgrade or purchasing plans, where appropriate, which could be of use to the Technical and Sales teams.

Training
Be prepared to undertake training responsibilities deemed appropriate to your knowledge and skill both before installation and after installation has been completed to ensure the customer is capable of operating equipment to agreed levels.
Attend training courses as necessary to develop and refresh knowledge.
Be prepared to undertake a trainer role after attending such courses.

Administration
Maintain records and complete paperwork in accordance with EN ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 standards being operated by Fujifilm Medical Systems.
Provide continual feedback on the company image, product acceptance and service.
Stay within expense budget including mobile phone usage etc.
Submit expenses and car mileage monthly.
Ensure car is maintained in line with manufacturer's service details and maintain the car to a clean and safe condition.
Receive authority for holidays from Line Manager before booking.
Carry out other duties that may be requested.

Job Package

Up to £40k basic salary
On-call payment
Company car/car allowance
Christmas bonus (equivalent to 2 weeks pay)
25 days holiday,

Person Profile

Must have at least 5 years previous Engineering (Electro/Mechanical)
experience, working with high-end capital equipment. This does not have
to be within the healthcare industry it could be e.g. Airport Security
X-ray equipment, None Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment, Graphics
equipment.
Previous field based and customer facing experience, ideally in the
healthcare industry.
IT/Software skills and experience
Networking skills and configuration
Microsoft Office configuration skills e.g. Microsoft Certified Engineer
(MSCE) + Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build
strong working relationships with customers and colleagues
Ideally they will have previous DICOM or X-ray experience, however this
is not essential.
Ideally they will have a degree in Engineering, however this is not
essential.
