Centralised Diagnostics Sales Specialist
Territory: London and Home Counties
Products: critical care, blood glucose, urinalysis and IT connectivity products and services
Main Functions of the Job :
1. Build and maintain effective customer relationships which will maximise sales of critical care, blood glucose, urinalysis and IT connectivity products and services of Roche Diagnostics within a given territory and customer classes. 2. Maintain high level of technical product, laboratory service and clinical knowledge to provide expert consultancy to laboratory, nursing and clinical staff.
Specific Responsibilities :
1. New Business Acquisition Projects.
- Agree key sites for development with Regional Business Manager and implement site specific strategy appropriate to the customer needs.
- Identify and develop key contacts at sites with Regional Business Manager. - Identify key Critical Success Factors for successful sales with Regional Business Manager. - Develop and implement project plan and individual action plans which will recognise specific customer needs
- Provide necessary input to ensure effective tender response
- Liaise on projects with alliance partners DD sales team LPC team 3rd Party team RPS
- Maintain Clarify for Sales database with accurate and relevant information
- Deliver Sales cycle milestones
2. Existing Customer Projects
- Accept cross functional site accountability for nominated accounts
- Maximise customer sales and profitability through volume and channel growth on existing and new critical care systems.
- Champion customer satisfaction improvement on each site 3. General Responsibilities
- Deliver Sales cycle milestones - Gather and seek out information about customers, competitors and the market and ensure it is communicated appropriately and that records are up to date
- Prepare and communicate accurate forecasts to enable the business to plan effectively. - Ensure that all administration is completed in a timely and accurate manner - Ensure that all Company Policies and Procedures are understood and adhered to. - Maintain individual sales skills and technical knowledge to Company standards. - Negotiate, within guidelines, prices, discounts and terms to ensure the best deals are secured within a defined product range, and that any spend is within the agreed budget.

| Person Profile |
Essential: Proven track record in sales or Laboratory procedures and management 3-5 years post qualification experience Able to take tough decisions effectively and quickly
Desirable: Excellent knowledge of current best practice in clinical laboratory technical/staff/operational/management. Excellent knowledge of current NHS systems/procedures/ management structures of Trusts/Health Authorities/Primary Care Groups.
