FUNCTION: Market Development
LOCATION: Head Office
REPORTS TO: Head of Marketing - Dermatology
Job Summary:
1.Develop opportunities and plans to drive patients to seek treatment from their GP. Utilising all P.R. opportunities to support the LEO brands and implement innovative communication methods for engaging patients initiating a change in behaviour.
2.Responsible for all consumer P.R. including agency management, event management, all web strategy and implementation, liaison and management of patient association relationships.
3.Responsible for development and implementation of web strategy and e-marketing tactical plans to deliver increased presence and interaction with patients, consultants, carers, GPs, nurses etc.
4.Development of Quality Care Plan for Dermatology Division, including method and implementation of patient interaction programmes utilising nurses, pharmacies etc.
Job Context:
1. Currently psoriasis patients are apathetic towards their condition as only 45% of all psoriasis patients seek treatment from their GP in any one year, increasing to 55% within three years. Increasing the level of 'active' patients will be key to increasing sales.
2.The web is a major source of information and resource for patients with long-term conditions, therefore expert use in web strategies and tactics will be required to initiate patients to seek treatment from their GP.
3.Patient Associations / organisations are a source of information for patient with psoriasis. Therefore exceptional relationships are required to maximise the PR opportunities.
4.Marketing communications will have to work across multifunctional teams and disciplines to ensure full implementation of market development. The MDM will work closely with sales, marketing, medical and business intelligence.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Lead the market development efforts within the dermatology sector (specifically psoriasis) to ensure full potential is achieved for LEO and LEO products.
2.Develop innovative marketing communications strategies and tactics to drive patients to seek treatment including (web, P.R, Q.C.P. etc).
3.Fully responsible for all consumer P.R. and development of P.R. opportunities
4.Whilst reporting to the Head of Marketing, the MCM will be required to work closely with colleagues in sales, marketing, medical, and business intelligence.
Job Content:
1.Market Development:
" Develop strategy for engaging patients to seek treatment
" Ensure Marketing Communications activity is in line with dermatology strategy
" Development Web strategy and e-marketing tactics
" Develop in conjunction with product management clear communications / PR strategies for all drive products
" Build exceptional relationships with the patient associations
2. Marketing Communications:
" Development and management of consumer association advisory bopards. Including, selection of members, agenda production, publication of outcomes.
" P.R communications planning and implementation
" Project management of symposia PR
" Develop web presence and communication plans.
3. P.R:
" Development of a comprehensive P.R. campaign
" Implementation of P.R. for products and LEO.
" Ensure LEO and LEO products are represented in positive media coverage.
4. Multifunction Working:
" Provide support and input to marketing and sales planning and implementation
" Liaise closely with market research, product management
" Regular visits in the field to ensure up to date information on key challenges

| Person Profile |
Seeking candidates with expertise in web campaigns & patient engagement.
Graduate as the minimum entry requirement.
A record of employment within the pharmaceutical industry (preferably within a marketing role).
Excellent communication skills, written, oral & presentation.
Experience of P.R. management. |
