This is a marketing position based at Abbott's Maidenhead office
Products: Abbott FreeStyle Navigator® Continuous Glucose Monitoring System, a revolutionary advance in managing diabetes
The FreeStyle Navigator system features:
Customizable early-warning alarms 10, 20, or 30 minutes in advance to significantly reduce hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic episodes
Continuous glucose readings each minute, providing real-time access to information. Only the FreeStyle Navigator system provides readings every minute
TRU™ Directional Arrow technology to accurately project glucose direction and rate of change
Suitable for everyday activities—including exercise*, bathing, and swimming
Contains a built-in FreeStyle® meter for convenient calibration (minimum of 4 calibrations averaged over the total 5 day period) and confirmatory blood glucose tests
Sensor continuously worn on body for up to 5 days
Wireless transmitter sends glucose readings to the receiver anywhere within a 10-foot range
Graphs and reports show glucose patterns
Role:
Build and develop the Continous Glucose market and create market access opportunities to maximise the FreeStyle Navigator opportunity (including the development and maintainance of key UK opinion leaders). Develop marketing strategies, including product development feedback, and implement these strategies through marketing campaigns which maximise return on investment for FreeStyle Navigator. Key success in the role is the effective management of the brand and coordination of effort and resources, including direct reports if appropriate.
Create, analyse and develop continuous glucose monitoring market in the UK;
Develop and manage key UK opinion leaders and centres;
Develop marketing strategy to match the position of the brand in its product life cycle;
Leading portfolio assessment and implementing agreed management plans;
Developing plan to market product through the promotional campaigns, utilising the full marketing mix as appropriate;
Undertaking complete analysis of the effectiveness of strategy and monitoring implementation;
Prepare plan, update and LRP in area of product responsibility;
Full budgetary responsibility for ensuring promotional campaigns are within agreed spending limits;
Liaising closely and influencing the sales management and sales team to ensure promotional campaigns are developed appropriately and delivered effectively;
Liaising closely with all support functions (including Medical, Regulatory, Customer Services and Manufacturing);
Chairing pan-divisional new product introduction teams and strategic initiative teams as appropriate.

Sales experience and marketing (product management) experience with evidence of KOL development.
Experience of pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or appropriate marketing/business sector.
