Reports to Regional Sales Manager

Role Function:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide profitable management of customer accounts within the UK NHS and Retail sales customer base. To pro-actively develop existing accounts and seek new accounts to meet targets set.

The responsibilities and authorities of the role are:

" To assume responsibility for the day to day management of the specified accounts and territory.
" To maximise sales opportunities with individual customers
" To build closer relationships between the Company, its existing customers and prospective customers.
" To achieve agreed targets in line with company Business Score Card or Key Performance Indicators

The duties of the job holder are:

" To achieve agreed targets for key customer visits with Account Managers on a monthly basis.
" To ensure that, in conjunction with the Audiology Services Manager, all customer training requirements are met effectively.
" To work closely with the Internal Sales and Customer Services team to maintain a continuous quality service to customers.
" To enhance company market intelligence of customer and competitor activity.
" To work closely with the NHS Contract Manager to monitor the purchase of contract products via the NHS Logistics distribution centre, identifying potential loss of customers or opportunities to gain new business.
" To represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations and project the Company as a market leader and professional organisation at all times.
" To provide a referral point for the resolution of difficult issues with customer accounts, making decisions where necessary, in line with agreed company policy.
" To work with Finance Department to ensure accounts operate within their prescribed trading terms.
" To identify potential sales opportunities with key accounts in the areas of hearing instruments, batteries, accessories, and audiological equipment and accessories.
" To provide the Regional Sales Manager with relevant sales data and reports as required including sales forecasts, monthly reports and detailed account analysis.
" To provide customer feedback to Operations Manager and Marketing & Product Manager on product issues.
" To meet/visit all customers regularly and ensure timely and accurate completion of CRM and proactive management of customer database.
" To accept and work within the Company's Quality System, seeking to enhance the system where possible.
" To pro-actively identify issues and problems with customer satisfaction, highlighting these immediately to the Customer Services Manager.
" To represent and project the Company as a market leader and professional organisation at all times.
" To develop and work by detailed account management plans for all key accounts
" Any other duties compatible with the requirements of the post subject to the direction of the Director(s).

The main contacts and relationships for the role are:

" Internally - all Directors, Line Managers and relevant employees
" Externally -contacts within UK Sales customer base, SAT
