| Person Profile |
Candidates:
* Degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, marketing or other relevant area.
* Understanding of branding and advertising processes and implementation.
* Experience as senior manager of personnel and budgets in international pharmaceutical company/medium sized agency.
* Experience of pharmaceutical strategic marketing programmes including overseeing, implementation and monitoring of PR and Publication planning projects
* OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Key Attributes :
* Excellent commercial awareness and understanding and broad experience of all aspects of financial management
* Excellent people management, leadership and delegation skills (with proven experience thereof)
* Excellent organisation and written and verbal communication skills (with proven experience thereof)
* Undisputed ability to work independently on all aspects of pharmaceutical marketing.

Title : Client Services Director
Role : To lead, direct and manage the Client Service Unit (CSU) achieving target Net Revenue, maintaining profitability, ensuring maximum client satisfaction and exceptional quality of work. Identifying and developing roll-on and new business opportunities. Fostering optimal working conditions and a positive thriving team spirit. Leader of the CSU. Liaising with other company directors. Proactive and productive maintenance of key client / opinion leader relationships. Contribution to the growth and shape of the company, through Leadership Team (LT) level post, or equivalent.
Key Duties :
* Financial responsibility for accounts in CSU.
* Ensure profitability of CSU.
* Responsibility for people management, including coaching, mentoring, performance and probation reviews, setting objectives and identifying training needs.
* Responsibility for contributing to annual salary reviews for the CSU.
* Strategic direction of CSU/accounts through thorough knowledge of medical/market issues, company's, clients' and accounts' overall strategic objectives.
* Coach and give guidance and support on proposal development.
* Sign off all budgets and proposals.
* Identify and develop new and roll-on business opportunities.
* Review key materials / projects to ensure on-target, on-strategy, on-time and budget and of highest quality, accuracy and creativity, as and when required.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients/opinion leaders, ensuring maximum/exceeded client satisfaction.
* Provide leadership and guidance of CSU personnel, engendering a team spirit at all times.
* Through regular updates / feedback from Account Directors and Account Managers ensure progress and effective resourcing of accounts/CSU.
* Recruitment of new CSU personnel, liaising with HR.
* Liaison with Heads of Department's (HOD's) of Scientific Services, BD, Editorial, Creative Services, Meetings Group and Live Action as and when needed.
* Conduct regular CSU meetings in order to maintain enthusiasm, motivation, achievement and recognition of CSU personnel.
* Encourage all CSU personnel to proactively strive for improved implementation of processes and procedures, so as to better harness current skills and improve efficiency and profitability.
* Perform presentations internally and externally.
* Provision of regular feedback to the Managing Director.
* Regular liaison and sharing of best practices with other Leadership Team (LT) members.
* Participate in induction programme for new employees.
* Develop and maintain respectful and productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels within the company, heralding and encouraging improved efficiencies at all times.
* Set example by complying with and endorsing company procedures.
* Represent CSU as LT member or equivalent for company Group.
* Represent the Group and CSU outside the company.
* Link-in with other Medical Education initiatives, where appropriate, and update CSU accordingly.
* Work closely with the Managing Director on special initiatives, as required.
* Manage staff in accordance with organization's policies and applicable regulations.
Resonsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters.
