Title : Senior Account Executive / Account Manager
Location: Warwick & London
Role: It's hard to imagine a world in which there are no antibiotics, no relief from common illnesses like asthma and diabetes, or hope of new treatment for fatal diseases. The medicines that are available for doctors to prescribe are made, and most of them were discovered, by pharmaceutical companies. In 2006, pharmaceutical companies in the UK spent £3.3 billion on pharmaceutical research and development - that's an investment of around £9 million every day. To put it in context, about one quarter of all UK industry-supported research and development comes from the pharmaceutical industry.
Working across two pharma accounts, this is an excellent opportunity to work and gain knowledge within this industry.
Key Duties :
* Provides solo advice to clients on a day-to-day, ongoing basis (with guidance from Account Directors) in order to sustain and develop ('farm') existing business
* Seeks out new leads with existing clients and plays an active role in developing them to win new business with the rest of the team
* Runs meetings/presentations solo
* Oversees and manages account teams in terms of day-to-day account handling
* Focusses on account efficiency
* Inputs into Account Management Plans (where appropriate)
* Manages and oversees the entire research process and develops the ability to refer clients to non-standard quantitative solutions
* Grows knowledge on wider MB offer and builds and applies knowledge of brands, media, and communications issues
* Manages and develops team members, and acts as a consistent/highly inspirational role model internally and externally
* Fully engages in wider MB initiatives and contributes to the MB organisation as a whole (training, learning, recruitment, processes, team/social events, etc.)

* An Account Manager/experienced Senior Account Executive, looking for a real change is needed to help set up and work on a relatively new area of the business
* Ideally research tools & techniques experince - has successfully managed and delivered research solutions
* Willing to learn and absorb new information
* Excellent knowledge of Pharma and Healthcare categories
* Enthusiasm for learning/applying marketing knowledge within the Pharma & Healthcare arena.
* Passionate about growing the Pharma business
* Able to work as part of a newly formed team and inspire Execs to grow and learn with you
