Title: Programme Manager & Programme Director - Medical Education
Location: Amersham, Bucks
Programme Manager
To manage aspects of defined programmes and projects, to be responsible and accountable for delivery of projects to achieve agreed financial, quality and time targets, ensuring maximum client satisfaction. Demonstrating a high level of accountability and real ownership for a broad range of medical education projects to a number of world leading pharmaceutical clients. Working directly with the company's directors to prove a senior account team which eclipse the usual standard of competitor agencies.
- Member of the project team on nominated accounts
- Take on account team leader role for allocated projects where appropriate
- Proactive and productive maintenance of key client / opinion leader relationships
- Identifying and developing roll-on and new business opportunities
- Ensure the smooth running and completion of nominated projects
- Efficient implementation of projects, managing the client, and in conjunction with internal and external resources including :
- strategic marketing input
- creative planning
- project costing
- logistics control
- client liaison.
- project reconciliation
Key responsibilities:
* Input into strategic direction of accounts including programme/project development.
* Understanding of market issues, client company and project strategic objectives.
* Review projects for quality assurance and high standards.
* Provide input and support on proposal development.
* Identify and develop new and roll-on business opportunities within own accounts.
* Review key materials to maintain highest quality production, accuracy and creativity.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients / opinion leaders.
* Provide Programme Directors with regular updates / feedback regarding progress and resourcing of accounts.
* Input into budgets and schedules prior to submission by Programme Director
* Be involved in project briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets and resourcing on nominated accounts.
* Make recommendations for improved implementation of processes and procedures, so as to improve efficiency and profitability of projects
Programme Director
Lead, direct and manage medical education programmes and projects and to be responsible and accountable for delivery of projects to achieve agreed financial, quality and time targets, ensuring maximum client satisfaction.
- Programme direction/management on nominated accounts/projects
- Responsible for managing profitability of own projects
- Proactive and productive maintenance of key client / opinion leader relationships
- Identifying and developing roll-on business within existing accounts
- Chair / manage nominated advisory boards / events
Key Responsibilities:
* Provision of strategic direction of accounts encompassing all aspects of programme/project development.
* Ensure full understanding of market issues, client company and project strategic objectives.
* Review projects for scientific accuracy, therapeutic relevance and key marketing messages.
* Review projects for quality assurance and high standards.
* Full financial responsibility for nominated accounts.
* Provide input and support on proposal development.
* Identify and develop new and roll-on business opportunities within own accounts.
* Review key materials / projects to ensure on-target, on-strategy, on-time and budget and of highest quality, accuracy and creativity.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients / opinion leaders.
* Provide CSD / Company Directors with regular updates / feedback regarding progress and resourcing of accounts.
* To ensure accuracy of budgets and schedules prior to sign off by CSD / Company Directors.
* Be responsible for all aspects of project briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets and resourcing on nominated accounts.
* Make recommendations for improved implementation of processes and procedures, so as to improve efficiency and profitability of projects.
* To set example by complying with and endorsing company procedures.
* To deputise for the Client Service Director, where appropriate.

Candidate :
* Educated to degree level
* This role is likely to suit either a account manager / director in a medical communications agency seeking more autonomy and real project ownership rather than working as part of a large team
* OR a Brand/Product manager with a flair for and experience of high level KOL relations and a proven ability in complex project management.
* Working in a smaller agency requires a high degree of personal accountability and a broad range of skills, including:
* Intuitive client management
* Good commercial focus
* Top quality project management
* Above average aptitude for written communication. |
