Business Unit Manager - Medical Sales and Medical Executive

This is a key role within the organisation with complete autonomy for the P&L of the Business Unit including responsibility for its growth and profitability.

 

 

The role includes man management responsibility for 7 staff, 3 based in our Head Office in Penn, Buckinghamshire and the remainder in our office in Leeds.

 

In order to enable exceptional people management and financial performance, this is a non billing role which encompasses responsibility for business strategy, business planning, headcount, sales budgets, marketing, markets of operation together with KPI implementation and delivery.

 

We would be interested to hear from candidates who possess good skill levels in recruitment, business development and man management, who have also had prior experience of P&L management.

Recruitment Consultant / Account Manager

Zenopa is a specialised UK recruitment service focused on sales, marketing and executive personnel and has been active in the healthcare market since 1991. We are a service organisation providing flexible, rapid and effective medical and pharmaceutical recruitment solutions to our clients.

Zenopa has national coverage of the market with offices in Buckinghamshire, Leeds and Edinburgh.

Core role

The role is a blend of sales and service provision in a highly competitive environment where success is particularly rewarding. Key elements of the role include:

  • Assessing and filtering individuals seeking employment
  • Building relationships with individuals seeking employment to the extent they recommend our service to others
  • Being able to support candidates in gaining new positions of employment, including giving constructive criticism in such a way it enables the individual to modify their behaviour and thereby achieve job search success
  • Establishing and maintaining contact, via email, telephone and face to face with employers to network, gain market information and position yourself as a credible recruitment provider. This may include communication with reception to director level personnel
  • Delivering the service level to the employer that makes you the recruitment provider of choice and escalating this position so you become and remain the employer's major recruitment provider
  • Providing mutual support - you must be able to undertake your colleagues' activities in their absence
  • Your own accounts to manage with objectives to achieve
  • Your own target accounts to gain
  • Regular client visits and attendance to industry events
  • Identifying high potential candidates and building strong relationships with these individuals in order to guide them through company selection procedures
  • Working in a highly competitive industry, where responding quickly to meet client requirements is crucial

The role is target based with a mix of financial targets and activity targets. It will be based on activity driven by contact with client and candidates and results ? i.e. billings.

Remuneration

Basic Salary: £20,000 to £35,000 dependant on experience / achievements. Year Two OTE of £30,000 to £57,500

Bonus Structure: to be agreed

Benefits: Pension contribution based on 7.5% of basic salary

Holidays: 25 days per year plus public holidays

Full-time 08:30 - 18:00 (17:30 finish on Friday)

Training / Support Available:

Quarterly: Business review with line manager
Annual: Appraisal / development plan review
Ongoing: Access to internal coaching and external training in line with our company mission statement.

Person Specification

Competencies

The most important requirement is attitude. We really do seek a 'can do' individual, someone who will genuinely put the effort in and deliver to the client regardless of how long it takes.

Ability to learn medical jargon.

Experience

Entry level position for a recent graduate or of interest to someone with a customer interface/recruitment background/high performance employment record ideally in sales (office or field based).
