Zenopa has 'had our cake and eaten it'!

The team at Zenopa HQ pulled on their aprons, brushed off those baking books, and baked their hearts out to host a coffee morning to help raise money for McMillan Cancer.

Kitted up with our free coffee morning kit, the tablecloth was filled with homemade Chocolate orange brownies, flapjack, coffee and walnut cake and some freshly baked Toasted Teacakes still hot from the oven. Further contributions were made with some purchased carrot cakes, lemon drizzle and the classic Victoria Sandwich. With so much to get through for one day, the invitation was extended to other businesses within the business park who needed no further encouragement to come and have a social chat and sample some cake on a Friday.

“Zenopa takes part in MacMillan's coffee morning to change lives with every slice“

‘MacMillan is a charity that is very close to many of our staffs hearts” comments Sales Director Tara O’Brien, “This is the 2nd year that we have participated in the coffee morning and it was lovely that we were able to extend the invitation as raise that little bit extra for such a worthy cause”

Today, Zenopa has raised £123 for the charity – more than last year!

The first every coffee morning took place in 1990 with a simple objective – to gather people to gather and donate the cost of their coffee to MacMillan. The idea was so effective that it was done again the next year only this time it was advertised nationally. It has since evolved and grown to be one of the biggest fundraising events for those facing cancer. Last year, the event, raised a staggering £29.5 million and this year, MacMillan are hoping to raise even more.
