Spectrum-UK Jobs Profile

Company Overview

In a healthcare world of increasingly sophisticated technologies and strict budgetary controls, meeting the expectations of the population has become more of a challenge than ever before for all clinical and healthcare professionals. Providing people with the ophthalmic care they deserve is no exception.

Product Overview

HOYA Single-Piece Lenses

HOYA Intraocular Lenses are hydrophobic acrylic with PMMA haptics.  The optics are of an extremely high quality due to the unique lathe-cut and tumble-polish manufacturing method.  Hoya have a family of lenses to suit patient's requirements.  The lenses feature a "step-edge" design promising secondary cataract suppression.

Hoya's UV Model VA-60BB offers a 6 mm optic, 12.5 mm overall length.  The lens can easily be folded or injected.  The lens injects through a 2.85 mm incision.  The lens has a very large dioptric range from -7 to +40.  Model VA-65BB offers a slightly larger optic for your myopic or VR eyes at 6.5 mm, 13 mm overall length.  This lens easily folds or injects.

Hoya's Model YA-60BB offers patients natural colour tones following crystalline lens replacement.  The light transmission characteristics of this lens are as a result of Hoya's 20 year history of yellow tinted technology.  This lens will also fold and inject through a 2.85 mm incision.

Hoya's ASPHERIC Model FY-60AD is a negative, yellow aspheric lens which will correct corneal abberations giving the patient's a better image and contrast sensitivity under real conditions.  The ABC design is a unique  aspheric lens as this has a progressive combination of optical balance from spherical and aspherical design.  The lens has excellent centration and can be injected through a 2.5 mm incision which is very important when implanting aspherics for the optics to be of benefit to the patient.  No enlargement of incision.
