Company Profile R-Biopharm Rhône Ltd (RBR), previously known as Rhône diagnostics technologies Ltd develops, manufactures and sells diagnostic test kits to improve safety of food, feed and the environment. Our products include a wide range of tests for analysis of mycotoxins specifically aflatoxins, ochratoxin A, fumonisins, zearalenone and deoxynivalenol in addition to test kits for various microorganisms and food adulterants. The kits come in a number of different formats consisting of immunoaffinity columns, cards and ELISAs.
R-Biopharm Rhône is part of the R-Biopharm group and together we represent the biggest supplier of test kits for food and feed analysis in Europe. RBR currently distributes the R-Biopharm RIDASCREEN® ELISA product range in the UK, offering a range of tests for antibiotics, BSE risk material, food adulterants, food allergens, hormones, vitamins and other test kits. The company also supplies Roche enzymatic tests and DNA (PCR) kits for species identification and GMOs. RBR sells products in over 50 countries world-wide; exports account for over 70% of total sales. Our products are supported by a network of experienced distributors and by our technical and laboratory support service in Glasgow. Product Overview R-Biopharm Rhône test formats Research and Development forms a major part of RBR's activities, with a dedicated team of chemists, immunologists and microbiologists operating from the Glasgow base. Over the years the staff have acquired extensive expertise in the development of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies and their use in different test formats such as immunoaffinity columns, cards and ELISAs. They have also been at the forefront of producing new methods of analysis for specific food, feed and environmental samples, responding to the needs of the market and the introduction of stricter legislation. RBR's test kits are used by cereal, nut, dried fruit and spice industries, brewing and malting companies and food sectors including poultry, dairy and fish. They are also used by public and private analysts, government labs and retailers. RBR have over 15 years experience in immunoaffinity column technology; a technology that has been adapted to detect a range of analytes either as quantitative analytical techniques or simple screening tests.
