Nycomed UK Limited was established in October 2003.
On January 1st 2007, Nycomed acquired ALTANA Pharma AG, the pharmaceutical business of German-based international pharmaceuticals and chemicals group, ALTANA AG.
The combined group continues under the Nycomed corporate brand name and is now headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, with its R&D led from Konstanz, Germany. Nycomed has a global workforce of 12,000 people.
Our mission is to bring medicines that make a real difference to both patients and healthcare providers. To do this, we provide medicines and products for hospitals, specialists and general practitioners, as well as over-the-counter medicines in selected markets.
