Astellas Europe employs approximately 3,200 people in Europe and South Africa across Sales and Marketing, Research & Development (R&D), and Manufacturing. Astellas Europe has 20 Sales and Marketing affiliates, three Manufacturing plants, and one R&D centre. Astellas Europe, through Astellas Pharma International, is also responsible for the distribution of the company's products in multiple markets in the Middle East and Africa.
