Astellas Europe employs approximately 3,200 people in Europe and South Africa across Sales and Marketing, Research & Development (R&D), and Manufacturing. Astellas Europe has 20 Sales and Marketing affiliates, three Manufacturing plants, and one R&D centre. Astellas Europe, through Astellas Pharma International, is also responsible for the distribution of the company's products in multiple markets in the Middle East and Africa. Astellas Europe is headquartered just outside London in Staines.
