Company Overview

Archimedes is dedicated to marketing niche pharmaceutical products to the UK market. We acquire and license these innovative products from multinational and development companies. Niche products often don't reach their true potential - our purpose is to ensure they do. To achieve outstanding success with a niche product we believe the sales and marketing effort needs greater focus, energy, creativity and commitment than usual. And, understandably, these products do not always receive priority status in multinationals.

At Archimedes we've responded to this important market need by choosing to sell only niche products. The result is that niche products in Archimedes receive top priority, allowing them to reach their true potential. Over the last ten years Archimedes has earned a reputation as the UK's leading independent company dealing with niche products. As our reputation has grown multinational companies and development companies have increasingly turned to Archimedes to help grow their sales.

Our experience connects your products to profit. Our knowledge fuels positive market change. Our customer relationships make the difference.

Journal of Community Bursing Highlight

Archimed highlight the latest technology in wound care at the Journal of Community Nursing exhibition Ashford

OXYZYMETM and IODOZYMETM, the revolutionary new wound dressings from Archimed (the wound care division of Insense) were very well received at the Essential Wound Management workshop on 30th July at the Ashford International Hotel in Kent.

Specifically designed for chronic wounds like ulcers, OXYZYME has resolved the dilemma previously faced by wound care professionals of how to create a moist wound healing environment that is oxygen rich and assists the body's natural healing process within a lightweight protective and absorbant wound dressing.

For the treatment of infected wounds, IODOZYME takes this innovative  process one step further. In addition to oxygen, the advanced biochemical system also produces an antimicrobial level of iodine within the dressing.  Iodine is well known for its antibacterial properties, and helps to produce an environment that is hostile to bacteria.

Case studies have proven that with the use of OXYZYME and IODOZYME dressings, chronic and infected wounds showed distinct improvement in just two weeks, and two thirds of the wounds had completely healed or significantly improved after just six weeks.
